DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY- It was a drill with a real-life feel. A bus filled with kids collides with two other cars.

It was only a drill but a good dry-run for emergency crews in the Back Mountain. The scenario used a bus filled with local girl and boy scouts that collided with two other cars.
Firefighters focused on quick and immediate recovery efforts, as well as their ability to use hydraulic tools, also known as "the jaws of life."

Dennis Bonning of the Lehman Fire Company said, "We learned how to triage patients and how to move them as quickly as possible away from the bus."

Participating firefighters said Saturday’s event was a success. And they tell us the networking that comes from these drills helps when there at a real scene.
