WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Luzerne County organization that helps the homeless is getting some help from the Coast Guard.
15 Coast Guard cadets from the New London Academy in Connecticut were in Wilkes-Barre Sunday. They traveled four hours to help "V. I.S. I.O. N."
They cleaned out some rooms at V. I.S. I.O. N.Ős South Wilkes-Barre building. The cadets also helped out at the Volunteers of America Thrift Store.
Cadet Ariana Pourmonir of Pittston helped arrange the community service project. | | |
