SIMPSON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- A car crashed into a bank along Main Street in Simpson, Lackawanna County just before noon today.

State police say a driver lost control in the Community Bank & Trust parking lot, hit a parked car, a sign and then slammed into the front of the building. Nobody inside was hurt.

The driver, 67-year-old Jesse Cron, and a passenger, 54-year-old Eileen Bessette, both from Forest City, were treated for minor injuries.

Cron claims the gas pedal stuck to the floor. Police are investigating.
