PLYMOUTH TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY- A Plymouth Township family is counting their blessings they weren’t hurt after a car swerved off the road and crashed into their home.
The driver told witnesses she was trying to avoid something in the middle of Weavertown Road when she lost control of the car.
The car plowed across the yard into the house. The Price family says there's significant damage to the foundation but believes it could have been worse. Christine Price told Eyewitness News, “It was spontaneous. The house rocked and then the bang of the accident. So I looked outside, I didn't look under my house. I was looking in the road and the girl was crawling out of the window."
Justin Davis said, "We're usually here playing. Just fortunate. Thank god we weren't here in the yard because something unfortunate could have happened."
The 18-year-old driver was taken to the hospital. Witnesses say she wasn't seriously hurt.
