WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- It was a scary situation Monday in West Hazleton after a car plowed through the front window the Pantry Quik on Route 93.

A 17-year-old girl drove through the window just before noon then took off. The car was found several blocks away.

Investigators say the driver faces hit and run charges. Store employee Carol Bobowski couldn't believe what happened. "First we heard a crash, then we looked up, the car was part way in the store. Few of us in here. We went and ran over after her. She backed up and took off," she told Eyewitness News.

The pantry Quik in West Hazleton was back open for business later in the afternoon. Police have not yet released the name of the driver.
