WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late U. S. President John F. Kennedy appeared before a crowd in Wilkes-Barre Sunday to rally Democratic supporters.

An over-flow crowd waited inside the Wilkes University student center Sunday afternoon, for JFK's daughter, Caroline Kennedy, to rally supporters. With only hours until the polls open, she pumped up volunteers. “I think everybody is gonna feel great about casting a vote this year. This is such an important choice. There's such a clear choice,” she said.

Sunday's crowd was told not to rest until the very end, because there are still plenty of undecided voters in Pennsylvania who need to be swayed.

Kennedy says Obama's concern about families and the working class will put him over the top. “I think that when people go into the voting booth and think about the future, their children/grandchildren and parents, I think Senator Obama is the clear person to vote for," she added.

As for Senator Obama himself, he spent the weekend criss-crossing the Midwestern battleground states. He hasn't been in Northeastern Pennsylvania in weeks, and while John McCain has been here twice, his supporters don't want that to sway people.

Senator Bob Casey said, “I don't think physical presence is the only way you get support in an area like this."

Casey says the nation needs a strong and steady leader, but even he admits it will be a tight fight right until the final results come in. “If you look at the history of this state, in terms of voting for president, no Democrat has gotten more than 51 percent in 50 years. That's the reality, so it’s probably going to be a close race," he added.

And former President Bill Clinton will be in Wilkes-Barre Monday. He will be here campaigning for 11th District Congressman Paul Kanjorski. Former President Clinton will be at Wilkes University in front of the Farley Library in the evening.
