WILKES-BARRE -- Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is planning to open up it's "Project Sunrise" expansion this summer and claim they need to fill 700 plus new positions.

Ruth's Criss Steakhouse, Bar Louie, Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar, Pearl- a sushi bar, women's clothings store Marshall Russo, and men's store Misura are among the new businesses hiring, as well as Mohegan Sun itself. All the operations will be part of a job fair to be held on Election Day.

As unemployment numbers rise in the state, will this help to turn the tide? Will these jobs be full time positions with benefits? What impact is the casino having on the economy and he community?
