BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- PennDOT made recommendations on a deadly stretch of highway Thursday.

An emergency study was done on Route 115 in Luzerne County. There have been two separate crashes that killed two people on that stretch of road in the past month in Bear Creek Township. Since January 13th state troopers ticketed 127 drivers.

Some changes to the road are in the works. The speed limit will go from 50 to 45 in some areas. Drivers might also see bigger safety signs on the road. Even more changes could be on the way by November. That's when an extensive study of Route 115 will wrap up.
