COGAN STATION, LYCOMING COUNTY- A woman has been charged with driving drunk after crashing into a United States congressional candidate. Police say 23-year-old Michele Merschback's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit when she hit Tom Marino's pick up truck head on.

The crash happened last Tuesday on Route 6 in Towanda. Eyewitness news spoke with Marino after he was released from the hospital. He said he held no ill will towards Merschback, but hoped others would learn from her mistake.
