Stroudsburg, Monroe County -
Some might say these volunteers are working for free. But they say they are working for Jesus. Gary Day and about thirty other volunteers came to Stroudsburg from North Carolina. They're a part of a Baptist Missionary Group.
The Northwinds Church is a fledgling ministry in Stroudsburg. It's landlord owns this old trailer. He agreed to give the church a rent discount if members helped him demolish this eyesore. So the volunteers headed north to help. They hope all of the work helps bring attention to the Northwinds Church and its misson. And while these volunteers finish tearing down the trailer, other volunteers from the group climb up on top of the YMCA to give it a fresh coat of paint.
The volunteers also shared their message at senior citizens homes and passed out water to people on the streets of Stroudsburg. | | |
