SCRANTON, LACKAWANN COUNTY- A lot of young ladies and their mothers turned out Wednesday night for chance to check out Cinderella’s Closet.

Members of the Junior League of Scranton play the role as fairy godmothers. The group offers low cost gowns and accessories for the upcoming prom season.

On Wednesday many took advantage of the event to find the perfect dress at the perfect price. And the money raised from the sale of the gowns will benefit women and children in the area.

Lauren Hazzouri the Co-Chair, Cinderella's Closet told us programs like Women’s Resource Center and other agency will benefit from the money raised from the sale of the gowns and accessories.

Organizers say they are very pleased with the turn-out at Wednesday’s event.
