CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- The committee behind an annual area ice festival couldn't have asked for better weather. The Clarks Summit Festival of Ice attracted another big crowd Sunday.
People have been pouring into town since the festival kicked off Thursday night. The event is centered on dozens of ice sculptures freshly made this Presidents' Day weekend.
This yearŐs theme is "Ice Under The Big Top" featuring frozen creations of what you'd expect to see at the circus.
Business owners like Paulette Okun couldn't be happier. "It's wonderful for the businesses in Clarks Summit and it's also letting people know what wonderful things Clarks Summit has to offer people to come visit in town," she said.
The Clarks Summit Festival of Ice wraps up Monday in Lackawanna County. | | |
