CLARKS SUMMIT, LACKWANNA COUNTY -- A Lackawanna County man faces dozens of charges after a child pornography bust.

25-year-old Shaun Campbell is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. Detectives found 1,000 illegal pictures and videos last month on his home computer in Clarks Summit.

They say Campbell claims he was compiling the pictures and images to better understand why child sex abuse occurs.

Campbell was charged Friday with 40-counts. He's locked-up on $100,000 bail.
