BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY - Robin Eddy and his girlfriend return to their apartment Thursday to clean up. Their belongings received heavy water damage in a fire. Flames broke out at 100 Irondale Road in Bloomsburg around 8 p. m. Wednesday night. A fire official still has not ruled on a cause, but rumors are circulating.

"We heard people say it was a kid who threw a cigarette in the trash," Robin Eddy said.
Fire damage was worst on the third floor where Eddy says the tenant was smoking.

"There's no smoking allowed in this building. It says so in the lease," Eddy added.

Most of Eddy's possessions are destroyed, but he thinks there are still some Christmas presents he can share with friends and family.

Eddy and his girlfriend hope the landlord and owner decide to renovate and allow them back into their apartment that is now too waterlogged to live in.
