WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Tuesday was an eclipse of two presidential candidates. Senators Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama stomped for votes in Wilkes-Barre. Obama later visited a crowd in Dunmore, Lackawanna County. Each crowd had thousands of campaign supporters. Many of whom waited in line for hours to see their candidate.

"I believe the American people are looking for a new kind of politics, something that's based not on tearing each other down, but lifting the country up," Obama told a packed house at the Dunmore Community Center.

"You know Mayor (Tom) Leighton, I bet there are roads, bridges, tunnels, water systems in this city and county, just like in Scranton and elsewhere that you could use a little federal help with," Senator Clinton said during her visit to Kings College, Wilkes-Barre. Clinton talked about the economy, energy, evaporating jobs, national security and crumbling infrastructure.

Obama focused on general election prospects come November, and the call for sweeping change. "I'm here to report my bet is paid. My faith in the American people is vindicated. Everywhere where people are standing up saying 'we're ready to turn the page, something new, we're ready to write a new chapter in American history.'"
