WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Troops serving overseas will get some care packages from home.

Wilkes-Barre's Hollenback Fire Station was the site Saturday for a drive billed as "." People donated everything from razors and protein bars -- to chap stick and sunflower seeds.

Maureen Rodgers organized the drive. Her son, Marine Lance Corporal Justin Klein of Wilkes-Barre, was deployed to Afghanistan in December.

"It's a little SOS of things they need like batteries and hand warmers and travel pillows. Just little comforts of home they're asking for," she said.

The goal is to send at least 150 care packages to troops serving in Afghanistan.
