BERWICK, COLUMBIA COUNTY- A church in Columbia County is celebrating its centennial.

Members of Saints Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Church in Berwick gathered on the church grounds after a mass of thanksgiving.

While many catholic churches are closing their doors, members say the type of worship at their Ukrainian church attracts many to the doors of Saints Cyril and Methodius.

Father John Seniw said, ÒWe have a special appeal to people who like to worship God according to the customs and traditions of the Eastern Catholic church in particular, and that's a special approach to worship."

The celebration included a delicious variety of Ukrainian food along with polka bands and dancers dressed in traditional costume.
