BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY- District Attorney Gary Norton accepted on behalf of county-wide law enforcement a check for more than $777,000.

Norton said some of the funds will go to purchase new police vehicles in Hemlock and South Center Townships' police departments. Both departments assisted in arresting three men tied to the theft of a tractor trailer last year that had in excess of a million stashed in the rear compartment.

The bulk of the proceeds will be invested, according to Norton, to later fund law enforcement programs and needs.
