HARVEY’S LAKE, LUZERNE COUNTY- An entire community is ready to abandon Luzerne County over the latest round of reassessments.

Harvey’s Lake Council members are leading a movement that would the borough to become part of Wyoming County.

Residents are concerned about skyrocketing taxes as a result of Luzerne County's property appraisals.

Assessors recommend that people in Harvey’s Lake should follow through with the appeals process which could ease their concerns without secession.
