Holiday travelers using Interstate 81 could hit some big time traffic delays. PennDOT has released warning of delays in several areas in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.

Drivers can expect delays from Exit 143 near Hazleton all the way up to Exit 164. That 18-mile stretch will have closed lanes and new traffic patterns due to construction.

You'll also find construction delays in northern Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. Those delays are due to three separate bridge work projects.
