STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY- Thomas Cook was sentenced in Monroe County Court for murder.
Cook pleaded guilty to killing Randy Huegel in 2001.
Huegel was a tenant in Ward's apartment complex .
Detectives say cook killed Huegel because he believed Huegel stole two-hundred-dollars from his father.
Cook admitted to shooting and burying Huegel's body.
Cook pleaded guilty to third degree murder and lead police to the body.
Huegel's Sister Gail Groman and several other family members told the judge to be harsh.
Cook's family asked the judge to have mercy because he had never been in trouble with the law before and was a nice man who just made a mistake.
Cook also spoke. He said he hopes for forgiveness.
Cook was sentenced to 15 to forty years behind bars.
