MONTGOMERY, LYCOMING COUNTY- Montgomery Area School Sistrict 11th graders Bobby Hoover and Drew Tompkins needed to do, was complete a graduation project.
But the idea they came up with is accomplishing much more than that.
They've gathered hundreds of homemade recipes and compiled them into a cookbook, called "Cookin for Justin." Proceeds from the sales of the book benefit former Montgomery Graduate Justin Showers.
Jennie Masser is Justin's Sister, "Justin is very, very intelligent. He was at the top of his class in high school. He did a lot of extracurriculur activities."
Justin was critically injured in October of 2005 when his motorcycle hit a car, sending him into the path of an oncoming train.

Jennie explains "Justin is a fun loving guy. Lots of fun. He was always picking on me. We'd fight constantly of course. But he was always the first one to come up and say I'm sorry. Give me a big old bear hug."
Now Justin needs a handicapped-accessible van to get around safely. Drew Tompkins and Bobby Hoover hope the proceeds from their graduation project cookbook will bring in enough money for the Showers' family to buy a brand new one.
Bobby Hoover tells WBRE News, "We got tons of calls and emails from people throughout the area and the district requesting books."
Classmates are also pitching in now. And Montgomery Area Culinary Arts Instructor Janet sellard has been offering her expertise and a helping hand since the project began.

"It's awesome. I'm very proud of these boys. They've done a fabulous job. As a teacher, I couldn't have asked for better students."
