WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- There are major developments in the Luzerne County budget battle.
A complaint filed by Wilkes-Barre resident Tim Grier was thrown out Thursday.
That complaint would have prevented the county from borrowing more than $93-million.
State officials ruled that Grier lacked the necessary taxpayer status to file the claim.
Luzerne County Bond Counsel Member, Peter moses, said, "Tim Grier tried to throw a snowball at us, he got hit with an avalanche. He was calling the county's bluff, well today the county collected the pot."
Grier is expected to file an appeal within the next two weeks. | |
