DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - An Elderly Dickson City couple was killed in a fiery early morning house explosion.

Several explosions rocked the home in the 700 block of Carmalt Street Monday around 2:00 a. m.

Searchers found the couple's bodies several hours later around 8:00 a. m.

The missing couple's son escaped the burning home.

He suffered minor burns and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The fire and heat also damaged or destroyed several other neighborhood homes.

Investigators are searching for the cause of the fatal blast.
