Crane Crashes on I-81 in Lackawanna County - Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 11:15AM EST

MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A crashed crane is to blame for highway traffic trouble in Lackawanna County. The passing lane along I-81 northbound is shut down to clean up the crash scene.
The problems started this morning around 7:30 in Moosic near the Davis Street exit. The wheels of a crane from Lane's Cranes in Moosic got locked up.

The crane crashed through a guide rail and into a wooded area. Another crane had to come to tow out the heavy crane truck.

PennDOT says the left lane of I-81 should reopen by early afternoon.
