WEST BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY - An Auburn man remains in critical condition after a crash early Sunday morning in Schuylkill County.

It happened around 2:30 AM on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township. State Police say George Smith lost control of his car and hit both a guide rail and the center median before the car flipped over. Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment.

Troopers think the 49-year-old was drinking before the accident. They say criminal charges are likely in Schuylkill County.
