WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY - Police say a driver who crashed her car into a Wilkes-Barre building late Saturday afternoon may have taken ill at the wheel.
Police believe 44-year-old Diane Hoyt of Noxen was driving out of the South Washington Street parkade just after 4:30 p. m Saturday. That's when her car accelerated across the road, jumped the curb and clipped Biernacki Eye Associates building.
Police found Hoyt not breathing. They did CPR and managed to restore a pulse. Hoyt was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley where she died Sunday.
The struck building has only minor damage. | | |
