PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Beautiful sunshine Friday made it perfect for brush fires.

One flared up in the Hudson Woods section of Plains Township. It started around noon and spread quickly in a residential area.

It burned about two acres before fire fighters brought it under control. No one was hurt and no homes were damaged.
