EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY -- Michael Goucher's family members were presented new neighborhood crime watch signs dedicated in his name in East Stroudsburg.

William Searfoss, Goucher's uncle said, "Mike's absence is really felt today. He was our right hand man for these kinds of things and him not being here we feel his absence so it's bitter sweet "

Goucher was a long time neighborhood crime watch member. He was murdered in February. Two people have been arrested.

The Monroe County sheriff's office presented the signs at the East Stroudsburg crime prevention day. The signs will be placed in and around Dansbury Park because that's where mike patrolled with crime watch several times a week.

Many here at safety day wore pins bearing Goucher's picture. His aunt and uncle are still actively involved with crime watch. Mary Searfoss, Michael Goucher's aunt said, ÒProbably even more so now because that was one of his strong holds because he was always helping people and looking for crime to try to stop it."

They'll patrol the same area Goucher did because they say that's what Goucher would have wanted.

Two teens, Ian Seagraves and Shawn Freemore are accused of murdering Goucher. They are both headed to trial.
