HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY- In Wayne County, family and friends remembered a victim of domestic violence with a tree planting.

A pear tree was planted in memory of Lisa Cronin.

Cronin was shot and killed by her husband, who then killed himself.
It happened on july 7, of 2007.
On Tuesday night, her family and friends gathered in her memory and to bring awareness to domestic violence.
LIsa's Aunt, Nancy Tenbrink talked about what the tree planting meant to the family.
"This means a great deal it keeps Lisa alive and we think about her every day. We are happy these people think about her and remember her. I hope the torture and heartbreak is over and we can find some peace.
Jeff HIller Lisa's employer planted the tree in front of the Trackside Grill.
The group also collected donations for the Victims Intervention program in Lisa's name.
