SUNBURY, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY- It's life in prison for Richard Curran. Prosecutors were originally pushing for the death penalty but jurors sentenced him to life in prison.

Those jurors heard from several of ex-wife Tina's family members, including Richard and Tina's daughter, before making their decision. Yesterday it took the jury in Sunbury less than two hours to convict Richard Curran of first degree murder.

Curran was on trial for shooting his ex-wife Tina outside the Shamokin Area Hospital in 2005. Curran was a part time police chief from Berks County.
