LAKE TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A Luzerne County man faces charges after crashing his car into a Sweet Valley bank building.

It happened at First National Bank along Route 118 in Lake Township. State police say 22-year-old Robert Stanton of Sweet Valley lost control of his car while trying to stop for a red light at the intersection of 118 and Route 29.

The car slammed head-on into the bank causing minor damage to the building. Stanton and his 22-year-old passenger Anthony Bielecki were not hurt.

Stanton faces DUI charges after the early morning crash.
