Danville, Montour County-

A group in Montour County is asking for your help to make Christmas a little brighter for people in our area.

The Danville Community Christmas Tree program has been helping local families for decades.

Organizers are seeking donations of new or gently used winter clothes, toys, and non-perishable food items.

They hope to help about 400 families this holiday season.

Chairman Red Swank, noted, “Most of us who are working in this program have been there where those others have been. So this is what we like to do for them.”

Donations will be accepted through December 18th. Then the items will be distributed on the 22nd and 23rd.

You can drop items off at the Danville Borough Ballroom on Mill Street or make a monetary donation to “Community Christmas Tree” at Sovereign Bank, 101 Mill Street, Danville, PA 17821.
