MAHANOY CITY, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- A traffic accident claimed the life of State Senator James Rhoades and the date of the special election to fill his seat was announced Tuesday.

On Tuesday, March 3rd voters in the 29th District will decide who they want to represent them. The district includes Schuylkill, Carbon and parts of Lehigh, Northampton, Berks and Monroe counties.

Senator Rhoades was elected posthumously to another term last month.
