Day 1 of Shenandoah Beating Death Trial - Monday, April 27, 2009 at 5:50PM EST
POTTSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Testimony began Monday in the murder trial of two teens accused of beating an illegal immigrant to death.
Luis Ramirez was beaten to death last summer in Shenandoah. The trial in the case began in Pottsville Monday morning.
Brandon Piekarsky and Derrick Donchak are accused in the beating death of Ramirez. On the first day of the trial 5 witnesses took the witness stand.
Defense lawyers say Ramirez was the aggressor. Prosecutors say it was group assault that went too far. | | |
