(Wilkes-barre, Luzerne County) Testimony wraps up early in day four of a former Luzerne County Cop's murder trial.

Former Dallas Township Police Officer Jeff Dennis is on trial for allegedly shooting his wife last year in the couple's home.

Prosecutors say Dennis tried to make it look like suicide. A pathologist took the stand on Friday with dramatic testimony.

Well known Pathologist Dr. Gary Ross was the only witness who took the stand on friday and he says evidence gathered from his autopsy on Carli Dennis is not consistent with suicide.

He took an oath to serve and protect, but police and prosecutors say Jeff Dennis brought a bad name to the badge. The former Dallas Township Police Officer is accused of fatally shooting his wife Carli in the head inside the couple's Wyoming home.

Carli died last year not long after her husband found out about about an affair she was having with her Luzerne County 9-1-1 Center co-worker, Robert Bomboy.

All along, Jeff Dennis said it was a suicide. Bomboy and other 9-1-1 employees already testified carli lived with a controlling husband and was abused both mentally and physically by Jeff.

When Pathologist Dr. Gary Ross took the witness stand he stated his findings at Carli's autopsy are not consistent with a self inflicted gun shot wound.

That Dr. Ross believes is based on the way Carli was lying in bed and a lack of blood and soot on her hands.

Ross also says Carli was asleep when Dennis shot her, then moved her body, which would explain two large blood stains on their bed.

Defense attorneys were quick to point out, Dr. Ross only found one small mark on Carli's calf in their efforts to disprove witness statements "she received daily beatings" from her husband.
