HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY- The Gaming Control Board decided to uphold the suspension of Louis DeNaples' Gaming License while the Mount Airy Casino Resort owner battles the perjury charges against him.
DeNaples sent a team of lawyers to represent him in front of the Gaming Board Tuesday. They argue that the Mount Airy Casino resort does not need a trustee. The DeNaples' team told the board that they already have an independent Audit Committee and seasoned management staff.
But the board members still have concerns. After about an hour and a half of private talks, the board decided to appoint a trustee, Dr. Anthony Ceddia, the former president of Shippensburg University.
They've also chosen an accountant to look over things. His name is Mark Gleason and he is from Pittsburgh. Management says it will respect the decision. | |
