HEGINS TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY - A 19-year-old man is dead after a weekend crash in Schuylkill County.

It happened on Route 25 in Hegins Township just after 5:00 AM Saturday morning. State Police say Matthew Charkaway of Pitman lost control of his pick-up truck and went off the road. The 19-year-old's truck hit a tree and then an embankment.

Charkaway was thrown from the truck and died at the scene in Schuylkill County.
