GREENFIELD TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- A fiery one-car crash claimed a man's life and closed one lane of I-81 northbound in northern Lackawanna County.

The accident happened just before 11:00 A. M. near mile marker 204. State police say the car left the roadway and struck a tree. It then burst into flames.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name hasn't been released.
