SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Most school districts in Northeastern Pennsylvania delayed the start of classes for one and a half to two hours on Monday morning because of bitter cold temperatures and wind chills throughout the area.

Ed McAndrew is a newspaper carrier for the Times-Tribune. He advised people who had to go out to dress in layers.

Others who work the early morning shift agreed. Keith Jennings of the New Milford Township Road Department simply said, "As far as the cold goes you've just got to deal with it!"
