PLYMOUTH, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A dead body was taken from an apartment at 15 Shawnee Avenue Sunday, and the district attorney's office is investigating the death, along with state police.

Details on the incident aren't being released right now, but neighbors told us what they saw and heard late Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

The Sajaadullah family lives next door and says they saw their neighbor, who lives in the apartment where the body was taken from, Saturday night after 10pm. A couple hours later, they saw police.

"I saw a whole bunch of cops outside," said Rahfeeqah Sajaadullah. "I didn't know what was going on."

A short time later, she says they watched as police took their neighbor into custody.

"He's been here for a couple months," added Rahfeeqah. "He's a nice, nice guy. I don't understand what happened."

Her daughter, Rajzheke, heard commotion, and another neighbor says he heard arguing late Saturday night, coming from the rear apartment of 15 Shawnee Avenue. They didn't think anything was seriously wrong, until authorities showed up.

"When the paramedics came, they didn't go in and stay," recalled Rajzheke Sajaadullah. "They just came in, looked down, and went back. And that's how we knew somebody was dead."

They say their neighbor and his family are friends with the victim's family.

As of 3:30pm Sunday, the district attorney's office and coroner were not releasing if the victim was a man or woman, the manner of death, or if the person they took into custody was charged with any crime.
