SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- It's day 2 in the Lackawanna County trial of an accused child killer.

31-year-old Michael Blakey of Scranton is on trial in the death penalty case. He's accused of killing his girlfriend's baby boy in June 2007 at Valley View Terrace Apartments.

7-month-old Kyahr Cash suffered multiple head fractures. Tuesday, the victim's mother took the witness stand and sobbed as she described when she found out about her son's injuries. She also told the court that Blakey was given to angry outbursts.

Testimony's expected to last the rest of the week and Blakey is scheduled to testify in his own defense.
