A large number of our viewers say they received an automated phone call telling them there's fraudulent activity on their bank card. Then the cardholders are asked to give their 16-digit card number. Authorities warn you NOT to give out that number. Anyone who did should contact their bank immediately. The scam appears to have started in Columbia County early in the weekend. However a large number of Luzerne County residents say they got phone calls late Sunday evening, some as late as midnight. Eyewitness News has contacted the state Attorney Generals office about the possible scam. Well have the latest tonight on Eyewitness News.
