WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Pennsylvania court officials say they are reviewing the status of Senior Judge Joseph Rehkamp. He was charged with simple assault and harassment Sunday after a domestic dispute with wife.

Rehkamp could face suspension. The Adminstrative Offices of Pennsylvania Courts, or AOPC, will make a determination within the next 24 hours.

Luzerne County President Judge Thomas Burke says he is also working on "contingency plans" to reassign cases that were supposed to be handled by Judge Rehkamp.

And Luzerne County District Attorney Jackie Musto Carroll says she has contacted the state Attorney General to handle the Rehkamp case.
