WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- There were big developments Monday morning in a high-profile double murder trial in Luzerne County.
The entire defense team for William Rohland, 46, asked a judge if the could be removed from the case.
The lawyers made the motion, citing a conflict of interest, because their office also represents Rohland's sister, who is scheduled to testify against Rohland Tuesday.
Rohland is accused of killing two people in Avoca last year after a drug-deal gone bad.
If Rohland's public defenders are removed, the case could end in a mistrial.
A judge is expected to rule on the request Tuesday morning.
