SHOHOLA, PIKE COUNTY -- The Delaware Valley School District has to pay out more than $800,000 in a lawsuit involving a former teacher.

It focuses on Thomas Matthews. He's in prison for sexually molesting elementary school students.

The family of one of those students, who was 7 years-old at the time of the attack, filed a lawsuit. They claimed the district tried to conceal the crimes in exchange for Matthews resignation.

They say he was even helped in getting a new teaching job in Virginia.
