SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- City workers say they are about two weeks away from completing demolition of an old Post Office building to make way for a new park in Scanton.

The building has been vacant for many years and has been considered an eyesore for people in South Scranton.

Once demolition is complete the city will begin work on a new so-called 'Pocket Park" to serve residents in the immediate neighborhood. Its part of a revitalization plan for South Scranton.
