Dorrance Township -
Volunteers at the Dorrance rest stop are busy serving weary travelers food and beverages. American Legion Post #795 in Drums opened their food bank around seven this morning. They've been doing this for five years serving up everything from hotdogs and donuts, to hot coffee and iced cold tea.
Kent Taylor of Elizabethtown says, "This is the best rest stop we've been to. It's just great to come out and see the folks here giving donuts and free coffee. That's fantastic." Robert Ray of the American Legion Post #795 in Drums says, "It's all free. We give it away. If people want to donate, fine. If they choose not to, that's okay too. But it's to help the drivers."
The American Legion will be at the I-81rest stop in Dorrance Township until tommorrow night at 8. | | |
