Double Stabbing Investigation in Scranton - Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 10:03PM EST

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Two people were taken to the hospital after a stabbing Sunday afternoon in Scranton.

It happened at an apartment in the 500-block of Prescott Avenue around 1:00 PM.

Investigators say a New York woman broke into the home of her ex-boyfriend and stabbed him and his new girlfriend. Police say Denver Pearson's injury was minor. His girlfriend, Ashely Woodruff needed five staples to close a wound on her hand.

The suspect, Cassandra Eugene, is facing charges of aggravated and simple assault.
