SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - Travel in center city Scranton will remain disrupted a while longer following last week's devastating downtown fire.
City officials say the 300 block of Lackawanna Avenue is expected to remain closed until later this week.
The travel restrictions are centered in front of the remains of Community Bake Shop, which was destroyed by fire last Wednesday.
Also, 3 nearby businesses are closed near the fire scene.
Marquee Cinemas on Lackawanna Avenue remains shut down because of damage to a common wall shared with the bakery.
Also, Curry Donuts and Best Foot Forward on Wyoming Avenue both sustained smoke damage.
Those 2 businesses could reopen by tomorrow. | |
